More From The 12/26 Project
Highlights From The 12/26 Project
While visiting on Cape Cod this past week, I was lucky enough to take a day and head up to the lower Cape to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather, a lack of tourists and the opportunity to begin a new photography project! Friday’s shoot was simply known as The 12/26 Project in which I hope to get the ball rolling on a new book of photography. I am still planning and researching for The Promised Land project, but in the meantime I need something to keep the creative and editorial juices flowing. The following are a few photos taken on December 26th from Truro, Provincetown, Eastham and Dennis, Massachusetts. As always, there are more to come.
I would like to thank everyone for their support over the past year. It has been a privilege to be able to share my photography with others via this blog. I hope you have enjoyed what I have posted thus far. I am excited about 2015 and what it has to offer, and I hope you will join me on the journey. In the meantime, be safe, have a phenomenal holiday season to close out the year and we’ll catch up soon! -Shawn
Boston Protest, Beacon Street – December 4, 2014
This past Thursday afternoon, approximately one hundred people took to the streets of Boston to protest the lack of indictments for two high-profile police killings in Ferguson, Missouri and New York City. The crowd was largely young college-age students, but there were also a smattering of adults as well. The crowd marched down Tremont Street en route to heading up to the Massachusetts State House on Beacon Street. The demonstration lasted approximately 30-40 minutes and for a short period of time blocked the traffic on Beacon Street. Boston Police were present for the peaceful march and demonstration at the State House.
